OUR MISSION
The mission of the Leadership Fort Wayne organization is to train, prepare and inspire individuals to positively impact the community through meaningful engagement. The core value of Leadership Fort Wayne is servant leadership.
PROGRAMS
Leadership Fort Wayne achieves its mission through five programs: Leadership Fort Wayne (LFW), Northeast Indiana Nonprofit Alliance (NINA), Youth Leadership Fort Wayne (YLFW), Leadership Exploration and Development (LEAD), and Youth as Resources (YAR).
LFW
The LFW program consists of nine full-day programs (September through May), an opening two-day retreat, a closing retreat, opportunities for hands-on experience, and an internship on a not-for-profit board of directors. Area leaders and experts provide information about the community and its history, institutions, socio-economic composition, and current issues. Training sessions develop participants' leadership skills and capacities.
