LEAD Facilitators
Youth Leadership Fort Wayne is committed to providing leadership development/training to students of all races, genders, ethnic groups and socio economic levels in Allen County. LEAD Facilitators are graduates of Youth Leadership Fort Wayne who must be juniors or seniors during the year they serve. Interested nominees must:
- Exhibit a strong interest in community service and leadership development.
- Attend the LEAD Facilitator orientation.
- Be available and commit to attend all required LEAD Facilitator activities.
- Maintain satisfactory academic, attendance and citizenship records at their home schools.
- Not use tobacco, alcohol or other illegal substances during their participation in YLFW.
Responsibilities:
- LEAD Facilitators assist in the implementation of the YLFW program. Duties may include set-up, program planning, group facilitation, and skills training.
- LEAD Facilitators need to be flexible and energetic, and have the willingness to do whatever is necessary to help the YLFW program be successful.
- LEAD Facilitators act as mentors to YLFW class members. LEAD Facilitators express the interests and opinions of youth and help to design appropriate programs.
- LEAD Facilitators help plan, implement and evaluate the LEAD program, a leadership skills training workshop for middle school students.
